| Hello, I’m Doug Wiles, pastor of Friendship Community Church. My wife Sharon and I moved to Canton in 1995 to establish a church for people who had almost given up on church but not on God. Our first service was in Harter Elementary School, November 3, 1996. When that building was being rebuilt, we moved to Cedar Elementary School, 2823 9th St. SW and have been meeting there ever since. Sharon and I were high school sweethearts. We have a daughter and two grandchildren. Our lives are like yours; sometimes up, sometimes down. Through life’s struggles we have learned the value of trusting God day in and day out. We hope you’ll visit Friendship soon so we can meet you personally. Consider this your personal invitation.
